Reading for the collective... 12th May 2020

As Saturn goes retrograde, what is falling away from you?

The first card we had was the ten of swords. This is the card of loss and rock bottom. Just when we think nothing more can be taken away from us, just as we try to grip harder with our hands, the universe insists that we release. The only way is up, and we need to release attachment to who we thought we were and what we thought we had. Soften and release, then release some more.

The next card is the 3 of cups which is a hope card. I've had this one a few times during lockdown and it is really reminding us that the new dawn will rise, we will be with our loved ones again, free to sing and laugh and play in the sun. But this will only come after we do the introspective work that is required of us.

The next card is the 6 of wands which shows us rising, beautiful, finally recognised as the incredible being that we are. Only you have the power to give yourself that recognition, anything external is only fleeting. I love the illustration of this card in the Wild Unknown deck as you really feel that sense of freedom and flight. Don't forget where you came from but stop making excuses and letting it hold you back from your full expression.

What is wanting to be let go?

What are you looking forward to when this is over?

How is the work you're doing now preparing you for later?

How can you rise into your power?

The River Flow

It starts slow,

Drop by drop,

Turning

From white to red.

A whisper from the earth

Outside of me

Within me

"I'm here, I'm here"

She knows

I am not ready to let go

Just yet.

I am under the alder tree

Hands on my belly

Staring up at the sky

Feeling the pulse of the earth

And the lifting

Of the veil

Like a piercing in my head.

She sends me

My daughter

We sit in the garden

Us three

Maiden mother

Crone consciousness

Bleeding on the earth

As we sing

Nourishing the flowers

Of our skin

With lavender oil.

"Soften,

Soften,

Daughters.

Let your grief go."

As I start to cry

The river begins to flow.
