I am a birthkeeper.
I entered this wise woman role at the age of 22 when I was called to speak the truth about women's bodies, the miracle of birth, as I call it the "wondrous normality". Sacred in the mundane.
Now as I am midway through my thirtieth year I have had the privilege to walk with families for their first, second and third babies. I am always here, that constant presence, maintaining that energy that you can tap into whenever you need to. It always touches me, the precious connection we have through the portal of birth, the expansion of love as families grow, as precious souls choose these conscious parents to incarnate them into this world.
Being a birthkeeper is not always about attending birth, it is about holding space. Holding space for the processing of fears, the realisation of dreams, the gathering of knowledge, the writing of the story of our family and the legacy we pass to our children.
