Place

There was a day not so long ago, when you were feeling unwell and fell near the waterfall. When we walked single file in silence, and suddenly the sun burst through the trees and bathed you in golden light and in that moment I knew you were being blessed and everything was going to be just fine.

Place is on my mind so much lately. The comfort we find in the familiar, the significance we give places that shaped us, memories that layer on top of each other like sediment, the resistance to surrender when we find ourselves in a physical or emotional place we categorically do not want.

I've done my fair share of stamping my feet, believing that what is meant to crack me open will crush me instead.

One beautiful thing I heard today from one of my spiritual teachers is that you might be in a particular place so that light can be more evenly distributed on earth.

Affirmations For Babies

Affirmations for babies...

"It takes courage for Souls to come in right now. Things have sped up and are happening so fast in such a concentrated way.... my parents are not saying what I need to hear. I would like them to tell me:

Your timing is perfect

You know exactly what your lessons should be

You are loved and wanted"

Crown Of Love

I dried them,

Every single vase-full

From where you'd show up at my front door

Smiling and hopeful.

Something about men with flowers

Is so tender and vulnerable.

The flowers were a witness

To every love sigh and trauma cry

Were the background in every photograph

As I let my guard down.

Winter became spring and I wanted to dance

Wanted to catch sun on my shoulders

So I gathered the flowers and weaved them

Raised them up

Crowning me with your love.
