Who Are You?
Who are you?
Daughter, mother, friend, lover
Who are you?
The girl with the blonde pageboy-cut, the woman howling at the sea
Who are you?
Endless longing. A kiss while sleeping. The ribbon in a journal.
Who are you?
The one who came before. The forest dweller, the blue-painted woman.
Who are you?
The baby at the breast of the cosmic mother. Endless love.
Who are you?
The song of the universe.
Who are you?
Eternal.
The Tale Of Magdalene
I have known love
And I have known loss.
I know what it is
To watch the man you adore
Sacrifice himself
On an altar
Of his own design.
More wolf,
Than man.
But oh,
He could be
Like a fragile baby bird
When he wanted
To be held
At your breast.
You could not find him
No matter how much you looked
Maybe a glimpse
Here and there
Of the boy he was
Eager for approval
Eager for love.
Soon replaced
By the mask of the one
Who has made his choice.
And still our souls
Sung to each other
From across the ether
Saying
You wanted to learn,
We tried, we tried
That ancient song.
So now you remain
Each other's greatest lesson
As you cut each other open
And ran from the shadows
You found inside.
They poured out of you
With their dark longing.
And you never believed
There was anything
Love couldn't heal.
But here
Sing the voices
You must leave now
Take the precious child
Tie her to your back
For she is the light.
Let sorrow make you wise
And wisdom
Turn you wild.
Daughter of the sacred path,
Come away now.
Pack the lessons up
Like ancient scrolls
In your medicine bag.
Sing their message
To the vast ocean of time,
Wander in your aloneness
And your grief
And know what it is
To choose life.

Calling Out To The Divine Masculine
Calling out to the Divine Masculine
I miss you, love.
Remember when we walked
Naked
Hand in hand
And bathed in forest pools?
You were not afraid
Of how I could see
Right through you
With my witch's gaze.
You could not hide.
And I was not afraid
Of the strength of your arms
And your body.
Your ability
To come undone in my presence
Made me feel powerful
Not vulnerable.
Remember when we slept
Curled round each other
Like cats?
You made the space safe
For me to alchemise
And create.
To make life.
I showed you tenderness
To all creatures
Without judgement.
I was the reason
For your fire.
We learned from each other.
Because we knew
We were stronger together.
It's not too late.
Put down your shield, love.
Put down your sword.
And I will mine.
Let us rise.
